ANDY REISINGER: German born Andy Reisinger moved to New Zealand to enjoy its outstanding landscapes and wildlife. With a Phd in environmental physics he divides his time between a passion for tramping and photography and work as policy adviser for the Ministry for the Environment. Andy is one of New Zealand's outstanding landscape and wilderness photographers and his work features regularly in magazines and calendars. GRAHAM CHARLES: New Zealand's best-known whitewater and sea kayaking photographer Graham's work brings real strength to Hedgehog House's adventure sports image collection. For many years Graham has been a kayak and survival instructor in New Zealand, USA and Antarctica. Graham is author of Whitewater Kayaking in New Zealand and the co-author of Frozen Coast, an account of a remarkable sea kayak expedition on the Antarctic Peninsula. Graham Charles
HARLEY BETTS: Originally from Taranaki Harley specialises in medium-format photography and has a reputation for his high-quality landscape images. Harley is particularly passionate about the New Zealand coastline and his coastal photography features in his own calendar, The New Zealand Coast. He has also photographed in Patagonia, Tasmania and the Ross Sea region of Antarctica. Harley Betts
NICK GROVES: As a dedicated climber and ski mountaineer for over 30 years in the UK and the Southern Alps and as a member of many Himalayan expeditions Nick is without doubt one of New Zealand's finest alpine photographers. Nick's work has appeared for many years in outdoor sports magazines and calendars while his 2003 guidebook Weekend Tramps in the South Island has been an instant success. Nick Groves
ROB BROWN: A keen tramper and climber for the past 20 years, Rob is now New Zealand's best-known wilderness photographer. As a dedicated landscape photographer of New Zealand's iconic wild places, Rob's 5x4"large format and 6x12 cm medium format transparencies are breathtaking for their detail and richness of colour. Rob's Classic Tramping in New Zealand (co-authored with Shaun Barnett), won the New Zealand Montana Book award in 2000. TUI DE ROY: After many years living and photographing in Galapagos, New Zealand resident Tui De Roy is recognized internationally as one of the world's great wildlife photographers. ROSS NOLLY: Based in Taranaki Ross specialises in photographing rural New Zealand and is building a fine collection of animal, cropping, agriculture, forestry and lifestyle images. Ross has had many cover images featured on New Zealand farming magazines.
SHAUN BARNETT: As editor of New Zealand Wilderness magazine for years Shaun is New Zealand's best-known outdoor writer and photographer. A committed wilderness and tramping photographer, his work is second to none as evidenced by winning (co-authored with Rob Brown) the 2000 Montana New Zealand Book Award for Classic Tramping in New Zealand. He is also author of Natural New Zealand and North Island Weekend Tramps. Shaun's work regularly appears in New Zealand Geographic, Forest and Bird, Action Asia and Geo magazines. Shaun Barnett
COLIN MONTEATH: Founder of Hedgehog House photo agency Colin has been a committed polar and mountain traveller, photographer and writer for 35 years. INGRID VISSER: A passionate cetacean researcher ( See www.orcaresearch.org) Ingrid has worked with orca around the New Zealand coast, in USA and in Iceland. She is also a wildlife guide on polar cruise vessels in both the Arctic and Antarctica. As a diving photographer she has photographed off New Guinea and around many Pacific Islands. Ingrid Visser
JEAN PAUL FERRERO: Founder of Auscape International photo agency, with which Hedgehog House has been closely affiliated for over 20 years, the late Jean-Paul Ferrero's wildlife and aerial images are still recognized around the globe as outstanding. Jean-Paul's passion for wildlife and his commitment to help preserve the concept of wild places is his abiding legacy. Hedgehog House primarily features Jean-Paul's African and Australian collection. GOTTLIEB BRAUN-ELWERT: Gottlieb has been a professional mountain guide for 34 years and is director of Alpine Recreation based at Lake Tekapo near Mt Cook. Gottlieb was the first person to climb all NZ's 3000m peaks in a single winter season. His many climbs in the Southern Alps and in Patagonia ( winter ascent of Cerro Fitz Roy and ski journeys on the Patagonian icecap) in particular have enabled him to photograph climbers and ski tourers in action.
