New Zealand Introduced animals & pests

NZ's British settlers, intending to replicate their homeland, introduced many animals which thrived in their new environment and have become pests. All species of deer, chamois, thar, rabbits, feral goats and pigs, and possums decimate the forest, while rats, mice, stoats, ferrets and weasels attack bird life. Canada geese, a sport bird, are destroying pasture. Koi carp have been found in waterways, and strenuous control measures are in place.
