Mid-winter had Colin escaping the paper blizzard in the office and heading for the heights of the Southern Alps. Along with Hedeghog House photographer Nick Groves, he flew into Pioneer hut in Westland National Park during a very fine spell of weather. During the next few days they skiied some of New Zealand's most exquisite mountain terrain and completed a demanding climb of the east face of Mt Tasman. Colin followed this up with a trip to Milford Sound to capture images of Mitre Peak in stunning winter light.
