In June 2002, Colin, along with 3 others, made a successful ski traverse of Denali (Mt McKinley), North America's highest peak.

The team of 4 set out from a ski plane landing strip on the lower Kahiltna Glacier and over the next 29 days became very familiar with the grand landscape that Denali dominates.

After reaching the summit of the high peak, they continued north, descending Carstenzs Ridge and the Muldrow Glacier before walking out across the tundra to Wonder Lake.
